Today i was reminiscing about your little pram, and the really long journey it took to come to us, quite like you munchkins. This pram i have to say, has global spins underneath. I remember the first time i lay my eyes on it, when i was pregnant with you babies. In my idle time i googled for a twin pram, and saw quite a few images but the one that caught my fancy right away ,was this model. I was stunned and smitten by the cuteness of it all. There was an adorable blue starry carrier for the boy and a pink flowery one for the girl , with a lovely "Bro" and "Sis" inscribed canopy and leg warmers ,all in their corresponding set of blue and pink adornments. It was gorgeous.
However, i had to quickly draw myself away from it's allure as i had no clue what set of lil babies were in my tummy(Lil boy-lil girl / 2 lil boys / 2 lil girls). I reconciled myself to various other models based on different sets of genders, but secretly i could not forget the vision of the perfect pram for me.
A few months later you munchkins arrived with your beautiful smiles into our lives and i got busy with tending to you baby gooses.Initially, you munchkins were so tiny that we could not even put you down in a pram . After a couple of months though we decided to invest in one, when you were fit enough to be strolled around. I knew what i wanted and your papa's quest began. The thing about this pram was that it was available only in London and none of the stores stocking it, shipped it to India. So began one of the grueling tasks of arranging a store delivery to a friends place and then getting it picked from there and couriering it to India.
So your pram, my little munchkins had a long, long sojourn ahead before it arrived to its rightful owners. Off it went from the store Argos to a friend's place in London, where it stayed for a few days. Then it was picked up from there in a lovely van by the courier guys after a couple of visits (since they seemed to miss the home owners every time)Eventually it landed at the courier workshop, from where it was ferried to Dover. Then it was boarded into an aircraft in the UK and flew into New Delhi.
We got an email telling us our twin parcel was awaiting for us in New Delhi airport after it's triumphant passage from Europe. Your Papa went and collected it the very next day. Lo and behold i saw the vision unpacked in front of me. It was even more prettier in person, especially when two munchkins sat in their designated places in it. It has been a true "Awww" moment from then on, everytime we head out with my lil bunnies in it.Our little faithful lil pram has not given up it's sojourning ways and plods on with us wherever we go ,being your most faithful companion. Her globe trotting continues as she escorts you babies around for the next trip.(Yea the pram is a she,cos something so cute has to be a gal ... talk about gender discrimination!!! )
