Hmmmm so babies snoozing again and I am as usual trying to flail my ten arms around and trying to do the 10 different things that need to be done.
1. Starting on my alternative career chart course
2. Reading up online on the first 10 google searches for the above data. Point
3. Browse through the latest catalogue of Gucci handbags
4. Check up on the latest trends on tpf
5. Catch up with my fav sitcom
6. Pen down words for my daily blog
You know , babies , I have been worried like hell that how am I gonna manage if the one and only nanny does not turn up.everyday interviewing people at the door, calling up friends for some info on maids, asking other maids to pass the word, calling up maid agencies. Anyways the dreaded moment arrived and stoically I told my nanny to leave at her regular 6:15. She raised an eyebrow as yasho and chinu made a dash to the summit of my head, hands clutching at my hair and stumbles averted by latching onto my ear. I smiled through my half open eye and waved a cheery bye as my heart sunk to a new low. I then slipped their fav nursery rhymes on and Steeled myself for another frenzied round of mommy goalposts , when it struck me that this was probably the first time since their birth that I was going to be all alone at home with my baby gooses.man.......this is a new thing and soo soo fun .....something I have been wanting for the longest time .....no prying maids ....no meddling grandparents.....just mama and her 2 munchkins.....
I hoisted them into their high chairs....and decided to regale them with some true blue mommy talent show. I sang, and pirouetted and twirled and jumped..and on came some Rajani and AB steps and my favouritest bharatnatyam adavus. The glee on the babies faces qualified for an Oscar moment and as I concluded my impromptu gig with a final wave and twirl of the babies cloth napkin I had conquered my greatest apprehension.
Yes ......it was no big deal....I was finally independent and dude I could again run my home show.....on my own.....Eureka!!!!!!
LESSONS LEARNED:
1 .Face your fears .....there are only two outcomes and trust me it's far easier to live with an outcome than the fear of the unknown....also more the attempts ......higher the odds of a win.....
2. Positive and can do ....certainly works ....
